Blog 6: English Language Challenges

Hello :D I guess this is the end.

About my experience learning English at university, I can say that kept me very active, very awake, like never losing time. I can emphasize the funny way that speaking in English with classmates became to me, since speaking is the least thing that I do in this language. Along the conversations I could notice how my brain looked for words from all my vocabulary in a fast way.

Also, I liked to see videos of celebrities for the listening activities, because I realized that I understand more English that I though and mades me to have more confidence. The texts that we read are not forgotten, and the reason why is that, as the blog of the teacher said, the social and politic content does not only amplied my vocabulary, but taught me new relevant information. They weren't like the typical stories that you will forget.

The use of blogs was the strong part of the program for me, because was the exercise that took me the most amount of time and the one were I search for new words and use it, manipulating all its meaning for my writing, so I learned the more.

Now, I think that I need to work on improve my grammar, there is some sentences were I'm not sure of the structure and that makes me loose fluency when I am speaking. Additionally, I would like to have a better pronunciation. I plan to upgrade in this aspects by practice in everyday life conversations and contents, especially with pronunciation, about grammar I'm not sure how to develop more abilities outside the classes.

Speaking of that, I currently consider that I use English moderately. I see many series and movies in English, sometimes with English subtitles. and others I just ignore the Spanish subtitles for moments. I listen to music in English and I'm constantly reading the lyrics, because I enjoy to sing and also I use them for expresing my own feelings if its relatable. And lastly, I consume a lot of memes in this language. Even sometimes I think in English too :)

I would like to improve in the future.

Goodbye y'all!!
